What changes in the process of transferring real estate

The fine of 100 euros for the notaries is retracted. A series of provisions is suspended until 30 June. Aim to thaw the real estate market.

Corrective actions regarding the obligations of notaries in the process of drawing up property transfer contracts, with a retrospective lift of the fine of 100 euros in the event that the use of an inaccurate ENFIA certificate does not result in a loss of public revenue, provided by the Ministry of Finance in Parliament.

Specifically, as it follows from the amendment, from 1-1-2019, a fine of 100 euros per notary will be levied retroactively on notaries and other persons in the event that the use of an inaccurate ENFIA certificate does not result in a loss of public revenue.

In addition, the provisions of Articles 47, 48 and 49 of Law 4646/2019, which relate to issues of property transfer tax, inheritance tax, donations, parental benefits and gambling, as well as issues regarding the application of real estate data (including the imposition of a fine on persons violating the relevant obligations), are suspended until June 30, 2020.

This provision has retroactive effect from 12 December 2019.

Notaries have abstained until January 26.
